Biography:
Curi Albertico Cusi Martinez was born in June 3rd, 1896 in Latin America although the exact country is not known. Prior to him being born, the country he lived in had gone through what most would call a dictatorship, in which what started off as an era of great progress for the country, would eventually turn into an era of repression, demonstrations and a mild amount of slavery in some arts of the country.
Due to this situation, his family decided that it would be better to get their son to live somewhere else just in case things got worse. And so, somewhere from 1897-1898, he was sent to live with some of their relatives in Europe in the meantime. Unfortunately not a lot is known about this his life on Europe, all we really know is that he lived in Italy with his relatives.
As time passed, it seemed that the situation on his country of origin were starting to calm down. So by early 1912, he and with some support of his relatives, started preparing to go back to his country and traveled to Cherbourg, once there he boarded the ship he had priorly buyed a ticket of at last moment, and finally headed back to America. Due to an incident in the way to America, Curi lost some of his belongings in the way back. It took him around a month to make his way back home, although after a while he finally reached his home country and for about a year it seemed that things had gotten better, but sadly an ongoing revolution would slowly gain momentum, eventually forcing him to go and take part of the movement.
Sometime around 1914 in one of the many fights between the two sides of the revolution, Curi was taking a small break of the fight when suddently, he was hit by a bullet on his right arm making him quickly drop his weapon for a moment, in a rush of panic he looked around to see who had shot him, luckily he was able to spot the person who had attacked him, quickly grabbing his weapon and eliminating them. Due to the pain that the bullet caused he collapsed onto the ground, he stayed there for a few minutes until he eventually had the streight to get up and leave.
After this traumatic experience and almost losing his life, Curi had enough of the situation and thought that by now the best thing to do was go back to the U.S.A. and hope things would finally get better in the meantime. By late 1914-1915 he would travel back to the United States and got a decently payed job, living that way up until somewhere between 1915 and 1916, where he would end up once again in Europe. The reason for this is unknown since there is no records of how or why he would go to europe, but now he has to deal with war once again.
